This place is amazing! We started with a Papa Negroni and a Mule's Mistress which were both great. We had the mussels for an appetizer which were the best mussels I have every had - the sauce was to die for. Our waitress was amazing and brought us more bread (baguette) to eat with the mussel sauce. For entrees, we had the bucatini and the ricotta cavatelli. The ricotta cavatelli was amazing and the bucatini disappointed me a little. Would have definitely gone back, so sad they are closing.

We've been here a couple times in the last month. The first time was amazing, this was prior to the restaurant announcing that they are closing soon. We were adamant on coming here once more before they closed because we lived the rigatoni pasta! Upon arrival (our second time) my son and I approached the hostess stand, still waiting for my boyfriend to arrive. Many servers were standing there to seat the guests pouring in for their reservations. I too had a reservation, I made weeks prior. The older woman that is usually at the hostess stand was there again, but her attitude was disgusting and disrespectful. I had booked for 2 people, (I had my infant son who is 20lbs and can sit in a highchair in place of any chair or stool- not a big deal), but technically had 3 persons with my INFANT 14 month old (quiet and very well behaved) son.. She made a huge deal that I had brought my son and said "she guesses she can accommodate us and find us a high chair" - like it was SUCH A BURDEN to do so??? I said if it's such a big deal he can sit on my lap.. but she insisted she'd figure it out but made me feel like an about it. First of all- when booking on the OpenTable app, there is no option for "highchair or child under 2", so the only way I'd be able to tell them is by calling the restaurant itself- which is near impossible to get ahold of anyone anyways!!! Love the food here, and most of the servers and staff are phenomenal!! But the older lady at the hostess stand damn near ruined our very last experience eating at the Italian eatery. I hope she finds a job somewhere where she doesn't have to deal with people. It was a very easy fix to grab a high chair and our meal was great, but her attitude makes me glad they're closing so I never have to see her again.

Oh my YUM! I unfortunately have fallen in love with Italian Eatery just as they are on their way out :( they will be closing sometime early June but luckily I was able to get a first (and last) try of their amazing dishes. The pappardello was a unique and beautiful pasta that was full of flavor - definitely worth trying if you can! And the mushroom cappelletti... I don't even like mushrooms but since this is one of their most popular dishes I had to try and wow!! This was one of the best pastas I've had, rich and delicious without being overwhelming. I wish I would've had leftovers to take home!

We are so sad IE is closing! This trip was our first and last do to their closing at the end of the month. I have only heard amazing things about this restaurant since moving to mn 2 years ago so we had to give it a try before it was too late! We ordered the bolognese, spritz, braised beef, and lemonade. All were delish! The braised beef was tender and the pasta is made fresh everyday. I loved my spritz and the lemonade was very refreshing. We parked out front in the small parking lot but there is street parking also if needed. The atmosphere is classy and has a personable feel. Service was amazing and our waitress was very knowledgeable the menu. There's both indoor and outdoor seating options! I highly recommend trying this restaurant before it closes!

Heard the unfortunate news that Italian Eatery is closing (SAD FACE!) . My friend and I happened to be passing by so, we decided to stop in for dessert after enjoying dinner at Un Dito. We shared the Chocolate Olive Oil Torte and it tasted just as good as I the first time I had it a year or two ago. Large portion. Great amount of sweet and salty. Perfection at its finest. We sat at the bar as it was pretty busy for a Sunday evening around 8:00pm. I like how the restaurant is a little dark with a decent size bar. The bartender was nice. I think I'm going to come back one last time before they close, maybe something from the menu. It always smells so good in here.

This continues to remain my favorite spot in the cities! I recently went back with a group of five and the experience was as stellar as ever. The big booths easily sit 6 and the service was wonderful. My favorite here has always been the mushroom cappelletti but I tried something new this time with the bucatini and it was delicious! We also had spaghetti Nero, baked garganelli and the Roman meatballs and they were all delicious!

First off, the parking lot is tiny so leave some extra time to park on a neighboring side street. The restaurant is cozy and well taken care off. I went to a 5 pm dinner and the place was already packed! I have a feeling this place is often packed. The menu is small but everything sounded appetizing. The prices are very reasonable compared to many around town so that might explain why it is so popular. I LOVED the Mule's Mistress drink; it's like a traditional mule but with tamarind and pear, and I could really taste the pear flavor. We received truly exceptional service which is so appreciated and not often the case these days. The one negative is the entree I chose.. I went with the spaghetti Nero because I love seafood but it was not good (IMO). The seafood was good and the red sauce was decent but the pasta was gross and smelled bad. I have had plenty of squid ink pasta at other places and have never encountered such foul smelling or tasting pasta. I'm definitely willing to come back and try something different.

First time here and it was an excellent meal. We started with Mussels (with a nummy Limoncello and crusty bread to soak it up). The mussels were a little small but generally tasty. We also had the meatballs which were a great balance of meatballs (veal, pork and beef with crisp Pomodoro sauce. I had the Cedar, a bourbon Manhattan aged in charred Cedar. It was nice but didn't pick up much Cedar or char flavor. I also tasted the Lambrusco twist on a Negroni. I loved the balance. For dinner I had the Short rib with a nice fig reduction, roasted root veggies and pine nuts. This tasted just like I hoped that it would. I also sampled the Mahi Mahi with artichokes and leeks - very nice light entree. The Garganelli has savory boar meatballs and lots of cheese. We didn't try dessert but they comped homemade vanilla gelato for a birthday boy. Excellent service and a honey neighborhood vibe completed the picture. I would go back in a second.

WOW! This meal was so good it had me planning a trip back to Italy! From the minute we arrived, we felt welcome and were thrilled with the ambiance. We started with the casa ricotta to share, but the fresh bread and butter was equally amazing. The cocktails were refreshing and delicious. For dinner, we asked our waiter Antony for recommendations and settled on the rigatoni and the baked garganelli. Both were absolutely incredible! I was hesitant about the rigatoni at first because truffle can be an overpowering flavor, but it was perfectly balanced with the fennel sausage and cream sauce. Even though we were incredibly full, we had to try the desserts. When in Rome, get the tiramisu! It was absolutely wonderful, the right combination of rich and airy. The house made gelato also did not disappoint. I can't wait for another date night here!
